Kathleen started dancing at the age of nine at Olympic Ballet School in Edmonds, WA. She performed many years in the Puget Sound area with Westlake Dance Center & ARC Dance productions, and has worked with local and national choreographers. In high school she was a competitive dancer and has been featured in local, regional and international commercials. She created choreography and trained Performance Group dancers to compete at the local and national level. Kathleen also loves doing choreography for musicals. She has completed Jazz and Theater intensives in New York, at Broadway Dance Center and modern intensives at David Taylor Dance Theatre in Colorado. She has studied various styles of dance; ballet, lyrical, Horton modern technique, jazz, tap, flamenco, musical theatre and body conditioning. She has been teaching dance and movement for over twenty years. She received her Dance Masters Certificate and training in New York. Kathleen loves teaching dancers of all ages and abilities and loves to see when dancers “lose themselves” in the movement – a great joy!
