Amy started her performance career as a dancer, singer & actress at a young age. She danced at local studios in Western Washington, the Centrum program at Fort Worden, Pacific Northwest Ballet & Cornish College of the Arts. She received her BFA in dance from Cornish College of the Arts & is well versed in ballet &modern dance. Amy has studied numerous ballet techniques including the renowned RAD technique that specializes in dance education & training. She has a strong foundation in many Modern dance methods including Graham, Cunningham, Limon, Duncan, Humphrey, Ailey &Laban movement. She also enjoys teaching jazz &character work. She has taught on the Eastside for over 15 years &has performed &choreographed for numerous schools &dance companies. Amy is a classically trained soprano but also enjoys singing Christian music, gospel, pop &the blues. As a singer she frequently solos for numerous events &has sung in several choirs at notable venues in the area including Benaroya Hall, McCaw Hall, Bellevue Hyatt, Edmonds Center for the Arts &sporting events. Amy was fortunate to grow up in the historic Duvall Thayer/Losleben house where the made for TV Movie Dangerous Affections was filmed. As an actress Amy has performed in A Christmas Carol, the toymaker Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Beline Too Many Doctors, &Puss in Puss NBoots. She enjoys working on her improv skills &is a board member of Cascade Community theatre. Her strong foundation of dance &singing makes musical theatre a perfect creative outlet for her. Her love for creating choreography &performing allows her to express her artistry ni a variety of ways. Amy is enthusiastic about sharing her joy of the arts with performing art enthusiasts of al ages.
