Young Ones Ballet Petite & Jazzy Tappers

Shannon started dancing when she was three years old, training at Gloria Hudson Dance Centre in Kirkland and Gotta Dance in Redmond, in tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical styles. In her youth, she danced competitively, promoted the movie Tap and Elizabeth Arden Cosmetics, and had a role in Seattle Sesame Street Live local performances. In high school, she transitioned from dancing to cheerleading.  Shannon graduated from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN, with a degree in Chemistry, and now works in the Medical Device field. Upon graduation, she started teaching at Nancy Raddatz Dance Center, then Rhythm and Shoes dance studio in MN. After her family relocated to the Pacific Northwest, she began teaching at Gotta Dance where her three daughters trained. She has also coached all her daughters in the Cedarcrest Junior Red Wolves program. Shannon loves the beautiful artistry of dance as well as the structure. She has a special passion for teaching young dancers, building a foundation of dance technique, confidence and character. She is excited to join DPA this year!
