Artful Steps Early Learning

ABOUT US

Artful Steps Early Learning is an arts-enriched preschool program located inside the Duvall Performing Arts (DPA) facility. Rooted in DPA’s long-standing commitment to creativity and excellence in the arts, Artful Steps brings that same passion to our youngest learners.

Our morning and early afternoon early learning programs provide a rich, developmentally appropriate experience for children ages 3–5. Through a thoughtfully designed blend of art, music, yoga, dance, theatre, and creative movement, children learn, explore, and grow in a warm and supportive environment. Each day is designed to engage both the body and the mind, allowing children to build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning while expressing themselves creatively.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Artful Steps Early Learning is to support families in preparing their children socially, emotionally, and academically for kindergarten and beyond. Through arts-integrated learning, we nurture creativity, encourage meaningful friendships, and strengthen essential preschool skills, helping each child take their next steps with confidence and joy.

PHILOSOPHY

At Artful Steps, we believe every child has the capacity to learn and thrive through a balance of guided instruction, peer modeling, and free exploration. Young children learn best when they are actively engaged - both mentally and physically - and when their natural curiosity is honored.

Our arts-enriched approach allows children to explore ideas through song, movement, visual art, yoga, theatre, and imaginative play, supporting the development of the whole child. By encouraging creativity, self-expression, and collaboration, we create a learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to discover who they are as learners and individuals.
