The Young One’s Program is designed for dancers 2-7 to have the opportunity to explore and be introduced to the world of dance.Young One’s Classes include: Tiny Tutu’s, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Jazz/Tap, Beg. Acro, and Hip Hip Minions.
The Youth Program is for dancers 7-10 and is in a more structured environment. This program supports the development and improvement of motor skills and coordination, attention and listening skills, as a preparation for continued study of classical ballet and other styles of dance such as; Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary. Our Youth Division is based on age, regardless of experience. Students must meet the appropriate age requirement by September 1st of the current school year. Summer programs and workshops are available.
The Advanced Program is for the more serious dancer to expand their training. Advanced program dancers train up to 9 hours per week and focus on not only classical ballet training but also Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Character work . Dancers must have completed Level III and must go through teacher placement.
Performance Division dancers perform in the community and throughout the Puget Sound area. They are our highest level of dancers and perform in two productions per year as well as performing at benefits, auctions, and community events. Performance Division is by audition only.
Crew is perfect for those dancers who love hip hop and are wishing for more performance opportunities. Crew meets once a week on Friday to rehearse fresh new dances by our Crew Director Ulyber. Dancers perform both locally and in the Seattle area, as well as being featured in all DPA Productions. Crew members are also welcome to attend the a dance convention in February, along with the Performance Division members.
